About Ami Hudson

Originally from Chesapeake, Virginia, Hudson is a graduate of the University of Virginia and of Eastern Mennonite Seminary. She completed additional certificates in Gestalt Pastoral Care– an approach combining Christian Spiritual Direction with the Gestalt therapeutic method—and in Justice & Peacemaking.

Hudson has done short-term Christian service work in Panama, eastern Kentucky, and Burma (Myanmar). She is a member of Spiritual Directors International and has been a contributor to Hungryhearts Journal of Spirituality.  She has taught religion courses at the Southern Virginia Higher Education Center, and has served as career advisor to college and high school students. 

Located in Halifax, VA, the practice began in 2003 and serves clients who come from South Boston, Clarksville, Halifax County and Mecklenburg County, VA, as well as Roxboro and Oxford, NC and Person County and Granville County, NC.  We are convenient to the southern Virginia counties of Charlotte, Lunenburg, Pittsylvania, and to Danville and Chatham.  We also serve visitors to the area.  Area attractions include The Prizery, Virginia International Raceway (VIR), Berry Hill Resort, The Southern Virginia Higher Education Center, and Staunton River State Park.
